We are getting into the nitty-gritty of my class. The discussions are getting better and better and I really feel like I’m getting a lot of this class. I have been reading so many great pieces of literature, and soaking up so much of this culture.
I am getting more and more excited to travel out to Iceland but I still have so much more to discover here in Denmark.
I have been living in Milwaukee for three years now, the city of beer, for three years. There are numerous breweries in the city and surrounding area, but I have never gone to one. Today in Denmark, this has changed. This afternoon I took a train out to the Carlsberg Brewery and had a great time!
A few of us took a wonderful guided tour around the original Carlsberg Brewery complex. It isn’t used for much brewing now, but there is still plenty of history there. There is a functioning micro-brewery on site, and it makes very delicious beer. I had two great samples of a dark and light Jacobson beer. It was a fantastic first Danish beer for this trip. I can’t wait to pick up some more from the store to enjoy for the rest of my time here.
Today was a fairly easy day, filled with beer and reading. Another adventure added to the list, and many more to go. It’s hard to believe that it’s already day 11 on this trip. The first week felt like a year, and this second week has been flying by. Here’s to a great tomorrow!
